Inspired by the integrity and skill of attorneys he encountered early in life, Raymond Salva left a successful career in sales and service management to pursue his true calling: practicing law. A proud graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law , Ray worked tirelessly to earn his degree while balancing part-time work, embodying the dedication he now brings to his clients.

Ray’s legal career is defined by his commitment to helping hardworking individuals achieve justice, particularly in wage and hour law. His expertise spans civil litigation, personal injury, product liability, and representing employees and unions in cases involving labor rights. Ray became a partner at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish in 2020, reflecting his exceptional contributions to the firm and his field.

A passionate advocate, Ray has a wealth of experience handling wage and hour disputes, including matters involving FLSA violations, prevailing wage laws, and collective bargaining agreements. His extensive work includes assisting firefighters and union representatives in identifying pay violations and navigating complex employment laws.

Ray is an active member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. He frequently shares his knowledge through presentations and educational efforts aimed at empowering workers and their advocates.

When not practicing law, Ray enjoys fishing, hiking, cooking, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He shares his life with his wife, Krissie, and their playful cat, Elfie. Ray is also the proud father of two sons, Conner and Luke. His friends appreciate his wit, sense of humor, and dedication to his work and community.

Ray’s guiding principle as an attorney stems from his ability to empathize with his clients' struggles and see the world through their eyes, striving to achieve meaningful relief and justice for those he serves.

Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.

Q&A

Share something about your personal life.

I am the proud father of two wonderful young men, Conner and Luke, a fisherman, a hiker, Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan, a cook and the owner of a giant spotted cat. I live with the most amazing woman in the world who makes sure that I remain humble and busy. I have a family full of aspiring comedians and great friends to enjoy time with on the weekends.

Describe how you came to be where you are today.

My parents taught me to keep an open mind. Over the years that lesson contributed greatly to the person I am today. As an injury lawyer, I must set aside my bias and see the pain and injustice experienced by my clients through their eyes. I believe understanding the depth of another’s misfortune is the key to obtaining the relief they seek.

Did you always want to be an attorney?

Before earning my law degree, I worked as a sales and service manager for a local construction equipment component repair shop. The attorneys I knew in my former life left a lasting impression on me. They carried themselves in a very dignified manner and their legal skills were unmistakable. I always wanted to be that kind of attorney. I work hard every day to uphold the high standards of my profession and emulate the qualities that make the “good ones” successful.
